special friends visit

We had our very dear friends from "north cackalakey" come up last weekend for a too brief visit--Donna and Fred! Sam met them last summer, but of course, he wouldn't remember them.
Donna has a real way w/kids and Sam was her best pal within minutes of their arrival. He loved Fred too--just had to look up a whole lot more to see him. :- ) We're glad he loves them as we do as we expect them to always be a part of his life, even if we live miles apart. This was outside Panerra's after they bought us lunch. yummy!
Following are some random shots my friend, and neighbor for just a little while (boohoo), Julie took today in our backyard--we had all the kids from our street out there.

Here's Sam and Daddy doing their very favorite thing--playing the guitar--wish I could write what Sam calls it but it's too hard to spell out. :- )

And here's a clip of them actually playing --well mostly Bryan's playing in this clip-- Sam's gnawing on the instrument. But sometimes, he actually plays--just haven't got the prodigy on film yet.

Just hit me, maybe that's how the Beaver got his name, eh? Think he chewed on everything, too? Maybe June Cleaver found herself saying all day long: "No chewing on your books, Beaver... please don't chew on the table leg, Beav... no chew the windowsill, dear...no chew electrical cords, honey..." hmmmm...
