Vacay-shonnnnn

We had a WONDERFUL time in Nags Head, NC. Think we finally found the best house, for us, there. And had some new friends, as well as our usual tried and true gang, come down w/us. We got to be there for 2 weeks--key!

Here's a few pics of the trip:
the view from the side of our deck
view from the middle :- ) Jim and Bryan (week 1), then the next week Daphne and Bryan, regaled us w/their guitars
Gary the photog

again, my handsome hubby
Lisa and Jacob in the waves. Lisa, Daphne and Lois and I used to do Nags Head when we were all single, back in the late 90s!
Maggie, darling
Another great sunset from our deck
enjoying it w/my good friend--Lois

Sherrill's son, Josh, got to play a round of golf which meant, Bryan got to hit a few balls when they got to "our" hole.
Jim, caddying for Josh
Sherrill (and Gary) taking pics w/me of the golfing event
Sam, Bryan and I (then later the others went) fed some turtles in a couple of converging canals. They started swimming in from all over the place. Hard to tell here but there must've been 50 of them! We took Lisa and Charlie et al the next week. Kids loved it.

I love this sequence at the beach-- Bryan giving Sam cheese curls... (my fav beach snack)

Then he lets him drink from his water bottle, even tho Sam has his own sippy out there somewhere...

Check out this look of horror--orange backwash! hee hee hee

Sam's saying-- "wha??" And he gets the water bottle for himself.

Sam had a 103 degree fever one day --no other symptoms but it laid him low one whole day,we stayed in. Then the next day on the beach after just a little while, he FELL ASLEEP in my ARMS then STAYED asleep on a towel for a good 45 mins. A minor miracle. Never happened before, not likely to again. :- )
Bryan went around snapping pics of us-- I was hoping he wdn't wake him up!
cute little sandy toes
I am truly glad we got photos of this as I am certain we'll never see it again--really--no, REALLY! :- )

Our good buddies, Charlie and Lisa
Their kids ended up the week really enjoying the ocean waves.

Our last night--another glorious sunset, a fitting end to a fantastic week. Truly a gift from God. We enjoyed the rest from the daily grind, the friends for us and for Sam, the activities, the quiet times, loads of laughs, and mornings on the deck, days on the beach, evenings out or playing Risk--what a great time...
