fall and Christmas 2010 in pictures

Wow, loaded in all these pics and am realizing this is months of activity... hope you all enjoy them. I'll be brief...

We met up, at a park halfway between us, w/old friends who moved to Reading on our church's first church plant--you saw this family earlier in the year as they went to the beach w/us. Jacob and Maggie are the kids and Sam always enjoys hanging out w/them.
Next trip--to Georgia for visit to Bryan's mom/dad and sister's family. We took 2 planes getting there and Sam LOVED flying. This was taken at our layover in Atlanta.

One reason we went before Tgvg was to see Samantha on her bday--our adorable niece blowing out her 5 candles, w/her momma's help!
Samantha graciously allowed our Sam to commandeer her new microphone the entire party.
Bubbles (GIANT ones) w/grandmommy
After church pic (Sam took his shoes/sox off in the car)

Grandaddy reading Goodnight Gorilla to Sam
G.mommy and g.daddy took us to Monkey Joe's--a jumping joint! Fun, fun, fun!
Sam especially loved the fire truck ride

Flying home--Sam found a new friend at the Atlanta airport on layover homeward.
Got to do Tgvg all over again at my mom's
Uncle Tom checking out the stovepipe before lighting the fire--it was clogged or something. I just thought it was funny, him sticking out that way.
Have no recollection what these 3 were gazing out at in mom's backyard. Love how Sam's a belonger wherever he is...

We stayed at my mom's 2 days as our house was full of dust from skimcoating the downstairs walls! Took time to see a local zoo. Mommy taught Sam how to feed animals w/o getting your fingers nibbled.
Sam-size donkey
Helping me-mom rake leaves in the backyard--Sam wore my gloves--it was pretty cold that day.
Home sweet home after the 1st little snowfall. Sam made tracks, just like the little boy he read about in his snow book.
Meeting Santa in the 'hood. He shows up on firetrucks every yr.
Picking our tree at a local treefarm.

Helping to decorate...

...the finished beautiful project.
And this yr, Sam got to sing in our church's children's choir--these 2 pics are the only photos I have of him where he's actually singing and not goofing off or turned around watching the other kids sing! His friend, Kenzie, in red/black next to him, knew all the words and hand motions. Such a cutie.

Annual Christmas pic after church
Sam got fav items for Christmas--flashlights...
books about trucks and kids w/soccer balls...
and a new sleeping bag for sleeping at Zachary's, Kenzie's or me-moms house! A happy camper!
I got the stomach bug Christmas morning but my family braved it and came up anyway for dinner, which made it nice for Bryan and Sam, least they had company while I was abed. :- )
Then the day after Christmas, the 1st big snow, about 10 in. fell! Our neighbors Bradley and little Lizzie.
Sam helping daddy to shovel

I'll leave you with this--a cheerful winter scene if ever I saw one! Happy New year to all.
Tks for stopping by, mb for WeThree

Oh MB, I love this!! He is so cute in his sleeping bag! We must have him over for another sleep over before they get too old!
